Ferrari Daytona with royal and Top Gear provenance up for auction
The wedge-shaped 365 GTB “Daytona” has to be one of the best-looking Ferraris ever, but with 1,400+ built in the 60s and early 70s some models are more special than others.
A perfect example of this is chassis #16531, one of only 158 right-hand-drive models, which along with other cars is going under the hammer at the “Historics at Brooklands” event in May.
Its first owner was HRH Charles, Prince of Wales, who drove it for about a week before selling it. A few owners of varied stature owned the car after him, until it appeared on Top Gear. Read the rest of this entry »
